Missions Partners
At Mountainside Church, we partner financially and prayerfully with different missionaries globally, nationally, and locally. Thank you for your generosity as we partner with these missionaries to spread the love of Jesus across the world.
GLOBAL
Hector & Ruth
We oversee ChildCARE Plus sponsorship for more than 500 children in our 17 program locations spread throughout Guatemala. We work with multiple schools, 15 local churches, and numerous families to continue to provide exceptional educational opportunities to the children while introducing them to Jesus Christ. We also host many short-term mission teams, while engaging in teaching and preaching in churches on the weekends.
GUATEMALA
Kathy Mizen
As the director of the Schools of Hope, I lead a team of national staff which ministers in the public schools in our district. We teach Bible classes, while providing nutritional food support to the students, giving us the opportunity to share with over 8,500 children. I also oversee our ChildCARE Plus sponsorship which helps children achieve their academic goals and provides families with a way out of poverty. By partnering with local communities, we bring necessities like water and sanitation into their homes and schools. I also mentor local Hondurans to become leaders in our ministry programs, in order to achieve an even greater impact.
HONDURAS
Cecelia & Felix, Hannah
Our goal is to build trust with community leaders, including local pastors, to help them address their community issues, especially poverty. We equip communities to start thinking of development rather than relief. We utilize Community Health Evangelism training together with business training initiatives such as Farming God’s Way, in order to empower the residents with skills to lift themselves out of poverty.
SOUTH AFRICA

We lead ChildCARE Plus in Thailand with a team of 18 nationals, working in 20 communities, with over 400 sponsored children and their families. Our programs provide education, nutrition, and healthcare to children to help break the cycle of poverty while also partnering with local churches in each community. Additionally, we help Bangkok refugees by advocating for their bail from detention and providing work and resettlement opportunities. We also work alongside government officials and other agencies to help those seeking to navigate the hurdles of the legal system.

For security reasons, we cannot identify these partners by name nor state the country in which they serve.
We are working with the Business For Transformation (B4T) Incubator. Through the B4T Incubator we mobilize new Western Global Workers and Global Majority participants to reach Unreached People Groups (UPGs). The locations these people live in are typically restricted and traditional missionary work is not permitted. B4T helps the participants launch a business with an integrated ministry plan in order to gain access and influence in the nation. This work allows us to engage with an unreached people group that we live among.

LOCAL
Pastor Carlo & Maddy, Lenna
In 2023, Bethel Church in Stratford planted a new church location in St. Marys, and Carlo and Maddy Rosati are the pastors to that community. First settled in 1844, St. Marys in southwestern Ontario has many historic landmarks, but has a very limited evangelical church presence. Bethel St. Marys meets each week in the local high school, and Carlo and Maddy desire to see their community transformed through Jesus.

CityKidz
CityKidz started in Hamilton as a weekend drop-in session for a few dozen kids but it has grown into multiple programs serving thousands of children and youth of all ages. CityKidz programs are a stable force of love and support for kids from before they can read until well after they’ve written their final high school exams. We teach our kids that they matter, that they are loved, and that they can change their future – and with it, the world.
Our Christian faith compels us to respond to the needs of our children with a focus on those who experience the highest levels of adversity with the least amount of resources. As we respond to children’s needs, we believe that God transforms lives in partnership with our actions.
